BRAINSPOTTING (BSP)

This method is used for:

  • trauma;

  • anxiety;

  • agitation;

  • depression;

  • any emotional states.

Brainspotting (BSP) was discovered by Dr. David Grand in 2003 and is based on the natural phenomenon - "Where you look affects how you feel" (Grand, 2003).

BSP works with the client's visual field and the fact that the eye muscles are linked to the nervous system. BSP helps heal emotional and somatic conditions, such as underlying trauma.

This method goes past the conscious, neocortical thinking and accesses the parts of the brain that are related to emotions and bodily symptoms.

The combination of brain-body processes makes BSP very effective.
